We were interested in trying to map different areas of our walking route through sound. We started at the beginning, where we all meet up and have a quick snack before heading out. Then we stopped at the park and played on the slide. And before reaching our final destination, stopped by the street corner to collect sounds of traffic passing by.
Adding a visual element to our collage, we took successive pictures while recording the sounds. This was a fun and easy project that helped us to really focus on the sounds around us.

Happy Holidays
LunaTech baked cookies for the holidays! We made chewy chocolate chocolate cookies and gingerbread men. Using lots of colorful frosting, we decorated all the cookies. It was hard not to eat them all because they were so delicious!

Water Rockets!
Water rockets are really cool! We made our own water rocket using recycled materials that you can find around your house and then launched them in a nearby park. We had a lot of fun running around trying to catch them as they fell down from the sky.
Some things we observed:
1. You can launch your water rocket about 4 times before the fins start coming off.
2. The less water you put in your rocket, the higher it will go.
3. The more air you pump into the rocket, the higher it will go (but this also makes it a bit more dangerous when launching, so be careful)!
If you would like to make a water rocket, here's a list of supplies you'll need:
16 oz water bottle
cardstock & cardboard
paper towel tube
fabric scraps or construction paper
glue gun
sand paper
ruler & marker
ping pong ball
There is a special launcher we use, manufactured by Pitsco. However, you could craft one yourself using some PVC piping, rubber tubing, and bicycle pump.
Digital Zombies
Preparing for Halloween was a lot of fun. For this project, we took pictures of ourselves and then zombie-fied them using Photoshop.

LunaTech Theme Song
After choosing our logo, we started work on our theme song. We had a lot of fun working with Kat in the sound studio recording our song, making beats, and mixing it all together.

LunaTech Logo
Our logo is finally ready to be unveiled to the world! Everyone drew and submitted their designs, then we voted on our favorites. The winning design was submitted by Ellie.
LunaTech Update
It's been a while since we last posted anything. We've been really busy and kind of forgot to catch you up on all the exciting things we're doing. Over the last month we have:
1. Designed a logo for LunaTech
2. Recorded a theme song for LunaTech
3. Made water rockets and launched them at a nearby park
4. Got ready for Halloween by turning ourselves into digital zombies
5. Painted pumpkins and made LED ghosts
Stay tuned for new updates!
